Instructions

    • 1

Set up a table and chairs on a lawn where you think there might be a lot of foot traffic. A cheap table will do just fine, as objects will be taped to it and it may be exposed to sunlight and lemonade spills.

    • 2

Cut a 6-foot piece of PVC pipe in half with a saw. Attach each 3-foot piece to each side of the table with duct tape. Use a roll of paper which will stretch the distance between the tops of each of the PVC pipes. Draw "Lemonade" or the original name of your lemonade stand and color it in. Attach this sign to the tops of the PVC pipes with duct tape.

    • 3

Cover the table with a colorful, attractive table cloth. Ideally, this table cloth should go all the way to the ground in front of the table. Make a sign to place on the table displaying the price of each cup of lemonade. Have a cup full of a few dollars and change to help customers break larger bills and make change.

    • 4

Make lemonade with lemonade mix or lemon juice, real sugar and water, and pour it into a large pitcher. Make a lot of this lemonade so you can refill the pitcher regularly. Purchase plastic or paper cups to pour cups of lemonade for your customers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Medium-sized cups will keep customers happy and keep you from pouring too much lemonade per glass.

  • Consider having a bowl of ice on hand with tongs to make each cup of lemonade a little colder.

  • Parents or an adult guardian should keep an eye on the lemonade stand so children are not bothered by possibly dangerous adults. Parents may even want to help work the lemonade stand or at least work in the yard nearby.
