1
Turn the paper plate upside down and flatten it. The paper plate will be easier to fill in with color when it is flat. Color the inside of the paper plate with a flesh or peach crayon. This is going to be Santa's head.

2
Draw a triangle on the red construction paper. Cut it out. This is going to be the crown of Santa's hat. Make sure that the base of the triangle can cover the width of Santa's head.

3
Draw a rectangle on the white construction paper. The length of the rectangle should be equal to the base of the crown. Cut it out. This will be the brim of Santa's hat. Attach the rectangle to the base of the crown. Then glue a cotton ball to the tip of Santa's hat.

4
Glue the base of Santa's hat to the paper plate. The hat should cover an inch of the paper plate. Cut out a small half circle from the peach felt paper, about half an inch in width. This will be Santa's nose. Glue it to the center of the paper plate. Trace two small circles as big as a quarter on the pink construction paper. Cut them out and attach them to the sides of Santa's head, using the nose as your focal point. These will be Santa's cheeks.

5
Draw Santa's eyes and mouth using a black marker. You can draw a curved line from cheek to cheek for Santa's mouth to make it look like a smiling Santa. You can also draw two small circles with dots in the middle for Santa's eyes. Add cotton balls near the edge of Santa's left cheek all the way to the right cheek to form his mustache. Attach a few more cotton balls on the upper part of Santa's chin for his beard.
