How to Hack Magic Objects in "The Sims"

Open your computer's default Internet browser and visit a well-known and safe downloading website for The Sims and The Sims "Makin' Magic" hacks and objects, such as ModTheSims or TheSimsResource (see References).

Search the website for the type of downloads and hacked objects you are looking for. The Sims offers downloads for Sims "skins," "lots" (houses), and "objects" which are all useful within the game. Enter keywords that are relevant to what you are looking for. If you are looking for "Magic" objects, enter "Magic" in the search engine for the best results. Once you find the downloads and hacks you are looking for, you are ready to download and install them to your Sims game.

Select the hack or download you would like to place into your Sims game. Download the file to your computer's hard drive, into a place where you will remember (such as your computer's Desktop). Once the download is complete, locate the file on your computer and open the ".zip" or ".rar" file using the appropriate program. Keep the window of the Sims 1 downloaded object open as it will be easier to transfer.

Click "Start" from your computer's main screen and open the folder from this directory: "C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads\", where your Sims 1 downloads will go. Drag the file from your ".zip", ".rar" or other downloaded file into the "The Sims\Downloads" folder. The Sims content will load into your game.

Restart your Sims game to load your newly downloaded and installed game hacks and objects.
