How to Find MIDI Songs

MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. MIDI files allow digital musical instruments to communicate with each other and a computer. With MIDI files, you can connect a digital music device such as a keyboard and automatically play the song through the instrument with the correct software. The process also works in reverse, wherein a keyboard can control MIDI sounds on a computer. Many websites have amassed large libraries of MIDI songs for public use.

Finding MIDI Libraries

1. Go to MidiDB in the browser of your computer. The MIDI database has a file search engine to find MIDI songs.

2. Click "MIDI Search."

3. Type the name of the songs you want in MIDI form. Browse the database to find and download the songs.

4. If you don't find the song you are looking for, search another database, such as FreeMIDI, FindMIDIS or Home Musician.
