Instructions

    • 1

Cut white craft foam into two small rectangles and use fabric glue to attach them to the front of the beanie to create beaver teeth. Allow half of the "teeth" to hang down past the beanie.

    • 2

Make a nose and whiskers for the beaver costume by cutting a piece of black craft foam into a soft-sided triangle. Make whiskers using broom straws. Layer the broom straws above the beaver teeth and then use your fabric glue to glue the nose right over. You may need to clamp the nose in place until it dries so that the whiskers stay in place. This piece should be directly over the beaver teeth.

    • 3

Make the beaver eyes using the same craft foam as used in the previous steps. Cut out two large circles from the white craft foam and two slightly smaller circles from the black craft foam. Glue the black circles onto the white and then glue those onto the beanie.

    • 4

Make the ears using brown craft foam cut into large ovals. Glue smaller ovals cut out of white craft foam inside of the brown. Glue the bottoms of the ears onto the top of the beanie using fabric glue.

    • 5

Make a beaver tail by cutting a very large oval-shaped piece of brown faux fur fabric and use a safety pin to secure it to the back of the velour sweat pants.

    • 6

Allow all glued pieces to dry and then put your costume on.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use fishing line and a needle to raise up the tail where you want it and then sew the tail to the neck/hood to keep it in place.
