Corn on the cob is a summer staple. Corn on the cob can be grilled in the husk, saving prep time and locking in flavor. Grilled corn on the cob with butter or olive oil cooks in about 15 minutes and takes only about 15 minutes to prepare. Some of the husks must be removed before cooking.   • Pot
  • Cold water
  • Plate
  • Butter or olive oil
  • Oven mitts

Instructions

      Peel off a few layers of husk, making sure that the ear is still covered.

      Place the corn cobs in cold water for 15 minutes in a large pot. Start the grill while the corn soak and heat it to medium. Take the corn out and shake off excess water.

      Pull the husks back but not off. Remove the silk underneath the husk and throw it away.

      Spread butter or olive oil over each ear and replace the husk. Place on the grill over direct heat and cook on each side for a few minutes. After cooking each side over direct heat, move to indirect heat and close the grill lid. Cook for about 15 minutes.

      Grab the corn ears off the grill with an oven mitt. Still wearing the oven mitt, take off the husks and remove any remaining silk. Serve with butter.
