How to Make a Guitar Controller Skin
The "Guitar Hero" video game franchise allows players to play the guitar along with preselected songs using a controller shaped like a guitar. The player must play the correct notes in order to keep the crowd in the game entertained in order to move on to the next group of songs. One of the fun aspects of the game is being able to create your customized skins to decorate your guitar with. All you need is some creativity.

Use a pencil and a piece of paper to sketch out your guitar controller skin design. Make sure that you include space for the various parts of your guitar controller, such as the "Start" button and whammy bar.

Write down on your design the colors you wish to use when completing the controller skin. Make notes on the various parts of your design or create a key on the bottom of the paper that indicates the different colors and designs to be used on the different parts of the skin.

Lightly sketch an outline of the guitar controller on a piece of sticker paper. Use your first design paper as a guide to draw the design on the outline of the guitar controller you sketched on the sticker paper. Make sure to use pencil so you can erase any mistakes you make.

Use markers to add color to the design you have drawn on the sticker paper. Consult your design paper for the color notes you made to ensure that you make all the parts the appropriate color according to your design.

Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut the guitar controller skin out. Peel the back off the sticky paper.

Place the skin on the body of the guitar. Carefully smooth out the skin to make sure there are no wrinkles.
