Things You'll Need
- Paper towel or soft cloth
- Wood soap
- Cotton swab or cotton balls
- Rubbing alcohol or hair spray
- Toothpaste

Water and Soap

Dampen a paper towel or soft cloth in cool to room temperature water.

Dab at the ink stain to remove as much ink as possible. Continue until the paper towel lifts no further ink. Do not rub the stain, as this can cause it to bleed or further spread the stain.

Dampen a cloth or paper towel with wood soap. Dab into the stain. Allow it to work into the wood for 10 minutes.

Use a dampened cloth to dab away the wood soap and any remaining ink. Continue until the stain has lifted.
Rubbing Alcohol

Dampen a cotton swab or cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. If rubbing alcohol is not available, hair spray containing alcohol can be used.

Dab the magic marker stain with the rubbing alcohol.

Allow the rubbing alcohol to work into the stain for five minutes.

Use a water dampened cloth to wipe away the rubbing alcohol. Repeat the process until all ink is removed.
Toothpaste

Apply a pea-sized drop of a white paste toothpaste to a soft cloth or cotton ball.

Rub the toothpaste directly onto the magic marker marking.
