How to Clean a Coffee Pot with Baking Soda
Coffee pots should be cleaned thoroughly at least once a month so that the buildup from everyday use is removed. Glass coffee pots become stained and dirty looking with daily use. Using baking soda to clean the coffee pot will make it shine again and look new, and improve the taste of the coffee. There are two ways to clean a coffee pot to make it shiny and clean. Baking Soda and Ice Cubes

Place six ice cubes in the coffee pot.

Add 1/2 cup baking soda.

Shake the coffee pot slowly so the ice and baking soda swirl around in the coffee pot. Continue doing this until the stains disappear.

Empty the ice and baking soda. Wash the pot in warm soapy water and dry.
Baking Soda and Vinegar

Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the coffee pot.

Pour in vinegar until it covers the baking soda. Let the mixture sit and bubble. After the bubbling stops, swirl the mixture around in the pot and empty.

Wash the coffee pot with soapy water and the stains will disappear. Dry with a lint-free dishcloth.
