Go to an NHL custom jersey maker's website such as Jersey Express and select the NHL tab. Choose the team you want to make a jersey for and decide whether you want your jersey to be an authentic home or away game jersey if you are given the option. These jerseys should be for customization and blank on the back.

Select the size of your jersey, and choose the customize option. Enter your name and number or any custom writing information you wish. Make sure that the site you choose uses multilayered fabric twill to stitch the name and numbers in order to get an authentic NHL jersey.

Complete the checkout process to order your custom NHL jersey. If you already have an authentic jersey, fill out a customization form, usually available on the customizer's website, and mail in the jersey with the order form.
