How to Surf the Web With a PlayStation 3

Use the Internet browser in the PS3 to surf the World Wide Web.

In addition to playing video games, the PlayStation 3 has a fully functional Web browser built right into the console. If your PS3 is connected to the Internet, you can use it to look up information online without even booting up your PC. You can also use it to check your Web email. Access the PlayStation 3 Web browser through the PS3's onscreen menu.

Instructions

1. Press the "Power" button to turn the console on. It automatically launches the PlayStation 3 menu.

2. Scroll across to the globe icon labeled "Network" on the media bar, and then scroll down to the "Internet Browser" icon.

3. Press the "X" button to open the browser. The PlayStation 3 website is the default homepage.

4. Press the "Triangle" button to open the browser options window. Scroll down to "File" and press the "X" button twice to enter an address into the browser.

5. Type the Web address using the on screen keyboard, and then select "Enter" to load the page. Scroll the cursor using the directional pad or analog stick.

Tips & Warnings

• Zoom in and out of webpages by pressing the "Square" button and using the "L2" and "R2" buttons.
