Check the battery pack for a blown fuse. A blown fuse will interfere with charging the battery of the scooter. It may appear black or discolored in appearance; a functional fuse is clear in color. Remove a blown fuse and replace it with a new 2.5-amp fuse.

Examine the scooter; look for signs of water damage. Rain, snow and condensation pose a serious threat to the motor of your scooter. Use a towel to dry a wet ignition, battery pack or control box. Store the scooter indoors, at normal room temperature, and allow it to dry.
