How to Smooth Clumpy Acrylic Paint

Acrylic paint is mixed and thinned with water.

Acrylic paint is versatile water-based emulsion paint. You may use additives to give the paint different finishes and use water to mix and smooth clumpy acrylic paint. Acrylic paint, once dry, is waterproof and permanent. Acrylic paints are perfect for both canvas painting and indoor and outdoor murals. You can clean up after painting with soap and water, as long as the paint is still wet.

Instructions

1. Pour your clumpy paint into a container for mixing.

2. Add a small amount of warm water to the paint.

3. Mix the paint and water.

4. Add more water if the paint is still too clumpy.

5. Mix well until smooth.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not add too much water or the paint will be too thin or runny.
