How to Paint a Conch
The conch is a gastropod native to the Caribbean, the Florida Keys, Bermuda and the Bahamas. Its shell is large and distinctive, with a thorny, spiraled outside and a shiny pink inside. In the Caribbean, people leave conch shells on the graves of loved ones, much like they do with roses and eternal flames in the United States. If you wish to decorate with conch shells, but their natural pink and cream color scheme does not mesh with your decor, they take paint well and look good in many different hues.
Instructions

1
Thoroughly wash the conch shell in warm, soapy water. Dry it with a soft, absorbent towel. Allow it to dry completely, preferably in direct sunlight.

Craft paint is available in a rainbow of colors at any art supply or crafting store. Plan out your design, whether it be a pattern or solid colors on the inside and the outside of the shell. If necessary, mix craft paint into the desired colors.

3
Daub the paint onto the shell in your desired pattern. If using layers, let dry partially between layers.
