How to Unlock Games in Wii Mario Kart
"Mario Kart Wii" has various characters, karts, bikes and games; however, many of the games are locked. To uncover these extras and race in new courses you will need to unlock them in single-player mode. To do this, you will need to unlock each cup once for each difficulty class, such as 50cc. There are three classes of difficulty: 50cc, 100cc and 150cc. Each of these classes has eight cups, with four unlocked already. These cups also each have four courses to unlock. You must play each of the four levels that are already open while racing against 11 other drivers, and have a final place of first, second or third overall in order to unlock more levels.

Start the Mario Kart game on your Nintendo Wii, and point your Wii remote at the screen to make selections. Choose single-player mode, then choose the difficulty class; start at the 50cc set and unlock all cups needed, then repeat this for the 100 and 150cc sets. Now, choose a character, kart and either manual or automatic drive.
Note: You will have the option to choose up to four players; however, you need to be in single-player mode to unlock levels. Once unlocked you can play with multiple players in those levels.

Unlock the Star Cup by winning the Mushroom and Flower. Unlock the Special Cup by placing third or better on the Star Cup.

Unlock the Leaf Cup by winning both the Shell and Banana cups. Unlock the Lightening Cup by placing third or better in the Leaf Cup.

Repeat these unlocking steps in the 100cc and 150cc difficulty classes to unlock their cups.

Unlock the Mirror Class by reaching first place in all the cups in the 150cc class. Do this by playing all four courses in each of the eight cups. Race against the 11 drivers in these four courses and finish all of them. Score well enough between them to win first place overall. You must do this for all eight cups in order to unlock the Mirror Mode.

Tips & Warnings
To win cups in each class you will need to place third or better. You receive coins and points for how well you drive, how many dangers you avoid and so on. To achieve first place, drive better than the other drivers and cross the finish line first. Do this by staying on course, avoiding dangers, collecting coins, doing tricks and so on.
