How to Clean Venetian Bronze
Considered a metal alloy, bronze is a combination of copper and tin. You may come across different types of bronze coatings in your home, which makes for a durable finish on many household accessories. While bronze coatings are features of some knobs, door hinges and handles and other household accessories, it is also common to find the finish on bathroom and kitchen faucets. Two of the most common bronze coatings are oil-rubbed and Venetian bronze. Unlike oil-rubbed bronze that contains light and dark tones, Venetian bronze has an even appearance, which requires careful cleaning to maintain. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Although cleaning your Venetian bronze once a week with a glass cleaner is necessary to keep it looking its best, you may need to perform a cleaning more often if the piece sees a lot of use.
Do not use any type of abrasive on the Venetian bronze during cleaning. Scouring pads and gritty cleaners can scratch the surface, exposing the metal to the elements, which may eventually cause it to tarnish.
