How to Learn XHTML for Beginners
XHTML or Extensible Hypertext Markup Language is an extended version of HTML or Hypertext Markup Language, the programming language used to build websites. XHTML builds on the foundation of HTML and is a more dynamic and advanced version of the programming language. The methods of learning XHTML are not too different from those for HTML. HTML resources are readily available, and more recently XHTML resources have been gaining more exposure. Learning these programming languages takes patience, practice and study through many different mediums.

Learn the fundamentals of the HTML programming language. Since XHTML is based on HTML, it makes sense to begin there. This can be accomplished by completing online tutorials, reading comprehensive "how-to" books and attending HTML classes. Practicing by building a website is a great way to get your feet wet.

Complete an XHTML tutorial on the Internet. Once you have the basic fundamentals of the HTML language, complete one of several free online XHTML tutorials to get a feel for the differences between the two languages.

Read a book on XHTML programming language. Books are an excellent way to grasp detailed information about programming languages and often include tutorials, tests and practice examples.

Attend a XHTML class at a computer learning center or community college. Often these classes are offered with others covering more advanced topics in creating websites. Live training gives you an opportunity to get answers to any questions you have and meet others who are learning the programming language.
