Instructions

  1. Stencil

    • 1

Hold the Bat Signal stencil up to your child's face to make sure it is small enough to fit. Cut out the Bat Signal if it is attached to several other stencils.

    • 2

Press the stencil against your child's cheek.

    • 3

Cover the free area with black paint. When you lift up the stencil, let the Bat Signal dry.

    • 4

Make a yellow circle around the Bat Signal and color it in around the bat, if desired.

    Paint Your Own Bat Signal

    • 5

Using your black face paint and brush, make a triangle with a flat top on your child's cheek. Paint two lines on either side of the flat top to represent the bat ears.

    • 6

Draw two half circles one half inch away from the flat-topped triangle. These will be the wings.

    • 7

Make two arcs starting down from the bottom of the triangle and then going back toward to meet the top of the half circles.

    • 8

Draw a point one inch directly underneath the triangle.

    • 9

Continue an arc from the sides of the point, moving upward and then pulling the lines down to meet the bottom of the half circles. Fill in the Bat Signal with black face paint. Make a yellow circle around the Bat Signal and fill it in up to the Bat Signal, if so desired.
