    • 1

Select the model of ice tea maker you own on the Mr. Coffee website. Choose from Mr. Coffee 3 Quart Iced Tea Maker TM70, Mr. Coffee 3 Quart Iced Tea Maker TM75, Iced Tea Maker 3-Qt. TM3 or Iced Tea Maker 2-Qt. TM1.

    • 2

Download the directions to the model iced tea maker you own by clicking on the link located under Customer Service on the bottom of the web page. The link is listed as "Download Manual" and is a PDF or portable document file.

    • 3

Read all instructions before using your iced tea maker. Print or read the instructions by scrolling down on the side of the document on your computer's PDF file reader. Included in your instructions are a table of contents on page 2 so you can conveniently locate any information you may need now or in the future.

    Brew Iced Tea

    • 4

Fill the water pitcher with tap or bottled water to the desired capacity. When brewing 1 quart, fill to half the amount used for 2 quarts or a full pitcher. Do not overfill, as this can cause spillage that result in burns and safety hazards.

    • 5

Pour the water in the iced tea maker's reservoir. To prevent injury from steam, do not plug the iced tea maker into an electrical outlet until you pour all of the water into the reservoir. The reservoir is illustrated in a diagram of parts located in the manual for the model iced tea maker you own.

    • 6

Fill the pitcher with ice cubes using the guidelines in Step 1 -- half for 1 quart and full for 2 quarts of tea. Place the steeping basket on top of the pitcher as described in the diagram of your manual. Next, place an 8 to 12 cup paper filter into the steeping basket on top of the pitcher.

    • 7

Place desired amount of tea into the filter of the steaming basket. For 2 quarts, Mr. Coffee recommends 6 to 10 regular bags or 2 to 4 tbsp. scoops of loose leaf tea and for 1 quart 3 to 5 regular bags and 1 to 3 tbsp. loose leaf tea. Sugar, lemon or other flavors can be added at this time and will dissolve during the brewing process.

    • 8

Place steeping lid on top of the basket, and plug the iced tea maker into an electrical outlet. Push the ON button to begin the brewing cycle. An indicator light will now illuminate to let you know the cycle has begun. This light will also go out when the cycle is finished, and the unit will shut off automatically. Slide the pitcher away from the machine. When the tea has completely drained from the basket, remove the basket and discard the filter. Then place the lid back on top of the pitcher. You are now ready to serve your fresh iced tea.
