How to Setup a Wireless Xbox

Take the Xbox 360 wireless adapter and connect it to the I/O port on the back of the Xbox 360. The I/O port is located directly above the A/V port and provides a space to the left that will accommodate the two tabs located on the wireless adapter.

Connect the cable to the I/O port and flip the adapter's antenna to the "up" position and power on the Xbox.

From the home screen, navigate to "network settings," which can be found under the "system" tab. Choose "edit settings" and select the wireless network you wish to connect to, which can be found on the "basic settings" tab.

Type in the password for your wireless network when prompted; click "Done" when finished.

Choose "Test Xbox Live" on the "Apply Settings" tab. The network will likely prompt you to download and install an update, which will configure Xbox Live for use on your machine. Choose the "Yes, Update Now" option and allow your Xbox to restart to complete the update.
