How to Make Your Own Barbie Shoes
If your Barbie has lost her shoes, or you simply want to design your own shoes for her, you can make some using polymer modeling clay that you bake to harden. You simply mold the shoes and bake according to directions, though it may be difficult if you haven't much experience shaping clay. Producing the desired results may require practice.

1
Spray a Barbie doll's feet with non-stick cooking spray.
-
2
Pinch off a piece of modeling clay and form it into a ball that is a little bigger than Barbie's foot.
-
-
3
Push the ball of clay onto Barbie's foot, sinking the foot into the clay. Make sure there is no part of her foot sticking out, unless it is intentional, such as in making open toed shoes.
-
4
Shape the clay into the desired shoe shape. Use a toothpick to help scrape off excess bits of clay. Shape the clay with heels if desired. Use the toothpick to "carve" on any shoe details like buckles.
-
5
Remove the clay shoe from Barbie's foot carefully. Don't squeeze or squash the shoe in the process. You need it to hold its shape so it'll fit once hardened.
-
6
Bake the clay shoes according to the directions on your package of clay. Because the shoes are so small and thin, you may have to experiment with multiple pairs for varying amounts of time to find the right time for baking the shoes without burning them.
-
7
Paint the baked and cooled shoes with craft paint if desired.
