Assess your pool's "haze rating." A completely clear pool has a "0" rating. A hazy pool with no visible bottom has a "3" or "4" rating. If your pool has a "3" or "4" rating, you will need to use Baquacil Flocculant. If your pool has a visible bottom and only a little haze, you can skip the next step.

    • 3

Follow the directions on your Baquacil Flocculant bottle to determine how much you need to add to your pool. Wait 24 to 48 hours after application and vacuum your pool.

    • 4

Clean residual mold off of your pool lights, ladders and other pool objects.

    • 5

Run your filter. Add the appropriate amount of Baquacil water clarifier to your pool skimmer according to the package directions.

    • 6

Add additional Baquacil Flocculant according to the package directions. Filter your pool for 24 to 48 hours. When your pool water is clear, backwash the filter.

    • 7

Add 1 gallon of Baquacil oxidizer for every 10,000 gallons of pool water.

    • 8

Check your pool's level of sanitizer. Add additional sanitizer until you reach a level of 50ppm.
