How to Not Get Seen on a Friends List in "Runescape"

The massive multiplayer online role-playing game of "RuneScape" has many settings to improve the privacy of its players. Chat filters allow you to customize who can see you online, send you messages, determine the amount of information displayed on your screen and choose the type of messages displayed. Players can appear online to everyone, appear online to only friends or appear offline to everyone. "RuneScape" also implements an ignore feature that allows you to ignore messages and the public chat of selected players.

Instructions

Changing your Visibility

1. Right-click "Private" at the bottom of the "RuneScape" screen.

2. Click "Off Private" to turn off your visibility. You will appear offline to anyone that has you added to a friend list.

3. Click "Friends Private" to turn off your visibility to the public. You will appear offline to anyone that you do not have added as a friend.

Appear Offline to Specific People

1. Click the "Ignore List" button on the lower-right corner of your user interface.

2. Click "Add Name" and type the username in the field.

3. Press "Enter" to place the person on your ignore list.
