How to Play "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" Multiplayer
One mode that was missing in older "Grand Theft Auto" games was multiplayer. Rockstar Games fixed this in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas." To start up the multiplayer mode in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," you must find multiplayer icons on the map, which are hidden throughout every region of the game.

Plug two controllers into the video game system.

Decide on what mode you want to play. This determines where you want to start the two-player mode. "Runaround" allows players to freely roam the city. "Rampage" allows both characters to work together to try and complete a task.

Look for a multiplayer icon on the screen for "Runaround." In Los Santos, look near the icon in the courtyard by an Idlewood number "three." In San Fierro, look a block north of the scene of Chapter 9.1.3 in a parking lot. In the Desert, go to the west side of Ammu-Nation in El Quebrados. In Las Venturas, go to the open courtyard in Royal Casino. In the Badlands, look on the east side of the General Store.

Find a multiplayer location for the "Rampage" mode. In Los Santos, go to the fountain one block west of the police station. In San Fierro, the icon is in front of a garage right beside the for the Woozie path. In the Desert, look on a porch in the Las Payasdas area. In Las Venturas, go one block east of the Camel's Toe. In the Badlands, it is across the street from Marvin's Restaurant.
