How to Zap Neopets
Neopets is an online gaming community that allows players to adopt pets, participate in site events, play games and earn neopoints. Users of the site can not only adopt pets, but also change the way those pets look. One way participants can do this is by zapping a Neopet in the Secret Laboratory. The zap can change the pet by color or species, or will simply change the pet's stats. Users can employ the lab ray once per day.

Log in to the Neopets website. Make sure that you have all of the pieces to the Secret Laboratory map in your inventory.

Navigate to the game room by clicking the link at the top of the page. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the link that leads to the puzzle games.

Go to the last page of the puzzle games and click the "Treasure Maps" link. On the next page click the link at the top for the laboratory. This will lead to the map conversion page.

Click the "Convert" button that is located under the map. The next page will have a "Proceed" button. Click the button.

Select the button that is located on the next page. This will lead to a page with all your pets on it. Select the pet that you want zapped and push the button at the bottom. The lab ray will fire at the pet, and the change will be displayed on the next page. Sometimes there is no change at all.

Tips & Warnings
The lab ray can inflict a loss in hit points or a change in the way a pet looks. Don't zap a pet if you do not want to change it.
