How to Organize & Manage Your Organization
An organizational plan requires a list of tasks to be done for your organization over a period of time, in some cases, up to five years. By listing your tasks you can manage your workload by setting clear goals that will help you organize the type of work that needs to be done, implement a schedule and determine the help you need. By managing your organization with an organized plan you can achieve your goals.

1
Prepare an organizational chart, listing all the work that your organization does. Divide the work in general categories. For example, a non-profit organization may have the categories of fundraising, community outreach and developing a website. Divide the larger categories, such as fundraising, into more manageable categories of foundation grants and grassroots fundraising.

2
Set clear goals for each category with specific time lines. For example, "raise $8,000 in one year." Discuss each goal within your organization and list in any order the tasks required to achieve the goal, This would include training, planning and scheduling. Be specific with each task. For example, prepare a report on quality control. Draft a realistic schedule for when tasks are either to begin or be completed.
