Fleas are insects that feed on the blood of mammals such as cats, dogs, bats, birds and humans. They can live up to two years and the females can lay more than a million eggs in their lifetime. Fleas can be extremely bothersome especially when they feed on a pet that stays indoors. Fleas can jump up to 200 times their own body-length, which makes travel from one host to another very easy. By following a few steps, you can make a natural bath for your pet that will kill fleas.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 cups of fresh rosemary leaves
  • Saucepan
  • Gallon pot
  • Spaghetti strainer
  • 1 gallon warm water

Boil 2 cups of fresh rosemary leaves in 4 cups of water in the saucepan.

Allow the 2 cups of rosemary leaves to boil for 30 minutes.

Place the spaghetti strainer in the 4-quart pot.

Pour the rosemary-leaf mixture into the strainer and lift the strainer out of the 4-quart pot to separate the leaves from the water.

Allow the liquid to cool to room temperature.

Pour the gallon of warm water into the gallon pot. This mixture can be poured on your pet and your pet can dry naturally.
