Directions for a Mattress Giant King Frame

Directions for a Mattress Giant King Frame thumbnail
King-size mattresses and box springs usually sit atop a metal frame.

Assembling a Mattress Giant king-size bed frame is a fairly straightforward chore. Because of the weight of the typical king-size box springs and mattress, extra care is required to make sure the frame is stable and properly put together. A steel frame generally serves as the base for the bed. Headboards and footboards usually are attached to the frame with screws or tabs that fit into a precut slot. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the two main railings from the package. Pull out the four cross arms, two on each side, where they form a 90-degree angle with the side rails.

    • 2

Place the two center cross arms in between each side of the frame. One cross arm should be at the top of the frame, and the other should be at the bottom.

    • 3

Connect the center support to the center cross arms to form an I-beam, using the tab sticking up from the support to secure it to holes in the center cross arms.

    • 4

Attach the cross arms on either side of the frame to the center cross arms, using the tabs in the cross arms to connect them to the holes provided in the center cross arms.

    • 5

Connect the headboard and footboard to the frame, using the hardware provided by the frame manufacturer to secure it.

    • 6

Place rubber or plastic caps over the corners of the frame to prevent the mattress from shifting. Place the box springs on top of the frame. Put the mattress on top of the box springs.
