Prepare the chicken thighs first by letting them soak overnight in your favorite marinade. Take the thighs out approximately 30 minutes before you are ready to grill and pat them dry. Rub each thigh with olive oil, then apply your favorite seasoning, such as garlic salt, seasoned salt, pepper or paprika. The seasoning will stick to the olive oil.

Turn on all the burners of your gas grill to the highest setting and close the grill. Let it heat for 30 minutes, then reduce all the burners to medium heat. Wrap each chicken thigh in aluminum foil, leaving an opening at the top. This will allow your chicken thighs to cook in their own juices without drying out or burning the skin. Close the grill and allow the thighs to cook for approximately 25 minutes. Open the grill and apply more marinade to each aluminum package. Close the grill and cook for another 25 minutes.

Once the thighs have cooked for an additional 25 minutes, check them with a meat thermometer. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken. Once the temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit, the thighs are completely cooked. If they have not reached the correct temperature, close the grill and let them cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Keep checking the temperature. Once fully cooked, you will have moist, succulent and flavorful chicken thighs without any burned skin.
