How to Make Origami Guns That Make Noise
Pop guns are toys, often in the shape of a gun. The pop gun contains pressurized air and makes a popping sound when the pressurized air is released. This type of toy is said to have been around since the 1100s, and continues to be considered a child's toy. Origami pop guns do not resemble the shape of a gun, but make a sound similar to a traditional pop gun. Origami pop guns can be as loud as a traditional pop gun.

Fold a sheet of standard origami paper in half horizontally. Unfold. Face the paper in landscape position in front of you.

Fold all four corners in toward the center of your square. Line up the corners with the horizontal crease you made in Step 1.

Fold your paper in half horizontally again, using the horizontal crease you made in Step 1.

Fold your paper in half vertically, aligning the long right point with the long left point. Unfold. Fold the long right point and the long left point upward toward the other two points, lining your folds up with the vertical crease you just made. Your shape should look like a square with a diagonal divide through it.

Fold your square in half along the diagonal divide. To make your origami pop gun pop, hold it by one of the creased long points and flick your wrist in the direction of the open center.
