How to Make a Duct Tape Rabbit
Duct tape differs from other types of tape because of its durability and strength. The strength results from the manufacturer laminating tape to a waterproof cloth. Duct tape's flexibility encourages its use for crafts. Although it is very sticky, crafters can manipulate the tape to create wallets, picture frames and toys. The 20 colors available provide a varied pallet to promote creativity with this material.

1
Cut out a rabbit silhouette and place it on the cardboard. Trace around the rabbit. (Draw a rabbit freehand onto the cardboard if you prefer.) Make the ears and legs at least as wide as the duct tape to reduce duct tape trimming.
-
2
Tear or cut 4- to 5-inch strips of duct tape at a time. Place the strips on the cutting board with the glue side up. Cut the tape in half lengthwise for a smaller rabbit; thinner tape is easier to handle.

3
Place a strip of tape on the rabbit's largest ear. Wrap the tape around the ear like wrapping a bandage on a finger. Continue until the ear is covered. Cover the rabbit's second ear the same way.
-
4
Continue wrapping strips around the rabbit's head, body and legs. Mold the tape over curves to maintain the curve of the cardboard. The more tape you use, the more three-dimensional the rabbit becomes.

5
Use different colored duct tape to add features to the rabbit. Cut out a small circle of dark duct tape to create an eye, or use a small piece of light duct tape to add a nose.

Tips & Warnings
Write on the duct tape with a ballpoint pen; markers smear.
Choose a plastic cutting board to hold duct tape, which is very sticky, to avoid accidental sticking to wood furniture.
