How do I Replace a Blower Fan Resistor on a 2005 Silverado?
The blower fan resistor on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado regulates the current to the blower motor, allowing the blower fan to operate at different speed settings. When this component fails, the blower fan may not respond to certain settings or may be stuck on one setting. The blower fan resistor is located underneath the dashboard on the passenger side of the vehicle. Replacement blower fan resistors are available from local auto parts stores, Chevrolet dealerships and online auto parts websites.
