How to Make Fake Rock Planes
Design and make your own flat planes of fake rock. The flat planes work well as stepping stones, or as a base for another item. The cement has a rock-like look and is sturdy. The chicken wire in the middle of the cement adds additional support, which is vital if the item will have anything stacked on it. The cement's texture feels like a rock. You can make the plane as big or small as you desire.

1
Put on the work gloves. Unravel a roll of chicken wire. Cut the chicken wire with the wire cutters so it fits inside of the pan without rubbing against the sides. It's not important to keep the cuts straight.
-
2
Bend the aluminum pan slightly in different areas with your hands if you want to make a more textured plane.

3
Pour the cement mix and water into the bucket. Stir with the stirring stick until the cement is smooth.
-
4
Fill the aluminum pan halfway with the cement. Place the chicken wire on top of the cement. Pour the rest of the cement on top of it. Set the pan aside for at least 24 hours to dry.

5
Slice one of the sides of the aluminum pan with the knife. Peel off the aluminum pan from the dried cement.
-
6
Place the rock plane where you want it to sit.
