How to Link a PC to Gaming Consoles
Video game consoles generally connect to televisions with the use of RCA cables. These cables allow the signal from the console to be converted into a signal that can be viewed on a television. If you wish to connect a video game console to a personal computer, you can still do so with the use of your console's RCA cables and a PC TV Tuner card.
Things You'll Need
- TV tuner card (installed on PC)
- "DScaler 4" software
- Y-connector (RCA audio to headphone)
Instructions

1
Connect the console end of your game console's RCA cables to the proper port on the back of your gaming console.
-
2
Connect the yellow RCA end of the game console's RCA cable to the yellow port on your PC's TV tuner card.

3
Turn both PCs on and begin playing your game. You should find that the two computers recognize each other in your game's multi-player mode.
-
4
Connect the red and white ends of your RCA cable to the red and white RCA ports on your Y-connector. Connect the headphone end of the Y-connector to the headphone jack on your PC's sound card.
-
5
Activate your "DScaler 4" program. In the program's menu, set the video source to "Composite," and check the "Automatic Format Detect" box in the Deinterlace menu. This will allow your program to adjust to the visual needs of your console.

6
Activate the program that goes with your TV tuner card. You should now be able to see the visual signal from the game console in your TV tuner program. The sound from the console will play through the computer speakers through the use of the sound card.
