Choose a spot on your Nissan Frontier center console to attach the XM satellite receiver. Use the suction cups on the bottom of the receiver to attach the unit to the dash. Another option is to attach the suction cups directly to your windshield. Make sure to position the suction cups in an area that does not impede your vision while driving.

Access the top of your vehicle by using a step-stool or a ladder and find an acceptable area to place the XM antenna. The antenna must be placed with an unobstructed view of the sky, according to the XM user installation guide. The antenna has a built in stick pad that is to be used to hold the antenna in place. Remove the sticker cover from this pad and attach the antenna to the vehicle.

Attach the XM audio cable to the back of the antenna and bring the cord to the right side of the vehicle. Open the back passenger door and place the cord directly underneath the black molding on the windows. Run the cable all the way to the front of the vehicle, near where you placed the XM receiver. Plug the cord into the back of the receiver and then get rid of any slack in the cord. Use auto tape to hold it in the molding.
