How to Hook Up an NEC SW300E Subwoofer
An NEC SW300E subwoofer is designed to be added for home theater use. When you hook up a home theater, all of the speakers, including the subwoofer, connect back to a receiver. The receiver tells which speakers to play what sound depending on the output from your TV, DVD player or other video device. The subwoofer picks up all of the lower frequencies and helps to add a deeper feel to movies and TV shows.

Tips & Warnings
Due to its low frequency, you can place of the subwoofer anywhere in the home theater room and it will still sound the same to the viewer or listener.
High-quality speaker cable can prevent signal loss. However, the difference is largely unnoticeable to all but the most sensitive audiophiles, so a standard speaker cable will work sufficiently.
