Trim Hair to Grow Faster

It is a myth that trimming the hair gets it to grow faster. Hair grows at a standard rate of about six inches each year. How well you take care of your hair, your diet, genetics and the environment all play a role in how long your hair grows. Trimming the hair does have its benefits. By removing up to one inch of hair, you greatly cut down on split ends, which can travel up the hair, breaking it off. A regular trim cuts down on the breakage caused by split ends and allows the hair you already have to continue to grow. Does this Spark an idea?
