How to Access Bluetooth on Your Computer

Bluetooh can allow you to connect a variety of different accessories to your computer without using wires. Bluetooth-enabled computer accessories such as keyboards, mice, headsets and printers can be paired with your computer, allowing you to use them with your PC without ever having to physically connect the two. If you've never used the Bluetooth capability on your computer, you'll be happy to know accessing it and pairing your Bluetooth devices with your computer are relatively simple tasks.

Press the "Start" button on your computer's desktop and then select "Control Panel" from the available options.

Select "Network and Internet" from the Control Panel menu and the select "Set up a new Bluetooth enabled device" from the options that appear.

Power on the device Bluetooth device you would like to add to your computer and place it near your PC.

Click the "Devices" tab and then select "Add" to launch the Bluetooth Device Wizard.

Check the box marked "My device is set up and ready to be found" and then click the "Next" button to have your computer search for all of the Bluetooth-enabled devices powered on near it.

Select your device from the list that appears, and then click "Next" to complete the installation process. In some cases, you will be asked to provide a passkey or installation disc for your device. The passkey is a series of numbers and is typically found on a sticker attached to your device, or on its instruction book.

Click "Finish" to complete the installation process and start using your Bluetoth device with your computer.
