How to Remove the Clutch on the AC Compressor of a 1995 Sonoma

The AC compressor clutch on a 1995 GMC Sonoma pick-up truck is an electromagnetically-actuated component that allows the compressor clutch shaft to spin freely when the compressor is not in use. This creates an increase in fuel economy and extends the life of the AC compressor. The clutch is pressed into the end of the AC compressor and must be removed with a special clutch removal puller that can be rented or purchased from most local auto parts stores.
