How to Find a Lap Pool
Swimming is a low-impact, whole-body exercise that is perfectly suited for people with physical limitations because of arthritis or musculoskeletal or weight limitations, according to exercise physiologist Robert A. Robergs, director of the exercise physiology laboratories at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Lap pools have lanes in which swimmers go back and forth, completing "laps." Finding a lap pool to use is a simple process that takes only a few minutes.
