Homemade Costume With Pirate Hats
Sometimes a costume can be inspired by one staple piece that will become the main focal point. For example, you can find a black pirate hat at almost any craft or Halloween store. From there, you can usually make the rest of the costume with items you already own or by purchasing a few things. Creating your pirate look doesn't take long, so start practicing your most authentic pirate voice.

Tips & Warnings
If the pirate hat you started off with is too plain for your tastes, glue a skull and cross bones to the front of it.
