  • Cloths
  • Spray bottle
  • Baking soda
  • Ammonia
  • White vinegar
  • Mop bucket

Instructions

      Place an absorbent cloth over any liquid that still remains on the kitchen floor. Let the cloth soak up the liquid before removing it.

      Pour 7 cups of water, 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/3 cup of ammonia and 1/4 cup of plain white vinegar into a spray bottle.

      Shake the spray bottle to mix all of the cleaning agents together.

      Spray the cleaning solution onto the stain on your kitchen flooring. Saturate the area, and let it sit for up to 30 minutes.

      Spray a clean cloth with more cleaning solution, and use it to wipe away the stain on the kitchen flooring. The stain may need light scrubbing.

      Fill your mop bucket with plain water, dip the mop in it, and use your mop to rinse the cleaning solution from the floor. Let the area dry before walking on it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Leave the vinegar and ammonia out of your cleaning solution if you're removing stains from a stone kitchen floor. Instead, add three to five drops of mild dish detergent.

  • Do not use any cleaning products containing bleach when you're using ammonia. Together, these products will create a toxic and very dangerous gas.
