How to Identify Server Authentication
Server authentication is a type of setting used in Microsoft Internet Information Services, or IIS. IIS is a Web hosting service available on Windows server operating systems. You can set up anonymous or basic authentication on your server. Anonymous is used when the website is for public use. Setting authentication to basic requires users to log in, which is used when the website is private.
