How to Pass Flyers for My Party
The type of party you decide to host will help determine how you pass out flyers for the event. If you want a large crowd and aren't concerned about knowing all of the guests, your choices for publicizing the event increase. For a smaller party with a specific guest list, your choices for flyer distribution will need to consider privacy and you should avoid posting the flyer in public places. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Mail the flyers via the U.S. Postal Service. Fold the flyers, place in #10 business envelopes and address, stamp and mail them. This works especially well for closed guest lists or neighborhood block parties.
-
2
Post your flyer online. Upload the flyer to your Facebook account, blog or personal website. Set your security settings on your social networking page to limit who can see the post if you want to control who has access to the flyer.

3
Email the flyer to guests. This works well for the same situations as postal mail, but doesn't require stamps or as much time to pull together.
-
4
Pass out the flyers to coworkers or classmates. Make sure to limit the time spent passing out the flyers to breaks and just before or after-work hours. Choose this option only if you are open to the idea of everyone in the workplace seeing the flyer, as it will likely get passed around.
-
5
Post your flyer on bulletin boards in grocery stores and other community businesses. Many stores have bulletin boards where you can self-post flyers, while others screen the flyers and will post the ones they accept. Ask about the store's individual policy before posting your flyer.
-
6
Staple or tape your flyers to wooden street light and telephone poles in your city. Check local regulations before hanging the flyers to make sure it is allowed. Some cities offer public bulletin boards outside in lieu of posting on poles.
-
7
Stand in a public place and hand out your flyers to people. Be polite, smile and avoid being aggressive. Strike up conversations with the pedestrians, when possible. Check for any local regulations limiting where you can pass out flyers to make sure you don't violate any rules.
