How to Get Nayru's Love in "Ocarina of Time"

In "Legend of Zelda: Ocarinia of Time," a spell in the game called Nayru's Love makes you invincible for a short period of time. It requires a lot of magical power to do so, and while you are under the protection of Nayru's Love you can't use any other magical abilities, such as powering up your arrows or powering up your spin attack. You can get Nayru's Love as either a child or an adult, but to get to its location as a child, you must first know the Requiem of Spirit song. Either way, you can't retrieve the spell until nearly the end of the game, when you're ready to face the Spirit Temple.

Instructions

    • 1

Play the "Requiem of Spirit" to warp to the Spirit Temple. If you haven't learned the "Requiem of Spirit" yet, you'll have to go through the Gerudo's Fortress as an adult and through the Haunted Wasteland to reach the Desert Colossus where the Spirit Temple is located.

    • 2

Turn to the right. You should see two palm trees along the far wall. Walk to the palm trees.

    • 3

Bomb the crack in the wall between the two trees. This will open up a chamber. Enter the chamber to find a Great Fairy Fountain.

    • 4

Walk onto the Triforce symbol on the ground and play "Zelda's Lullaby."

    • 5

Talk to the Great Fairy. She will grant you Nayru's Love.

Tips & Warnings

  • Nayru's Love is useful when fighting bosses or other enemies, but keep its limitations in mind before you use it --- if you need magic to fight a boss, don't use Nayru's Love.

  • Be careful not to stand too close to the bomb as it goes off to avoid hurting Link.
