Tips & Warnings
For a touch of color, add 1 to 2 drops of food color to the rock salt and massage in with the essential oil.
When oil scent has been absorbed, usually around 4 to 6 weeks after making the batch, sprinkle essential oil on rock salt to refresh the scent.
Large batches can be made at a ratio of 1:1, rock salt to essential oil.
Clay based containers are a good choice for the scented rocks as the clay will absorb the essential oil from the rocks, prolonging the scent.
Keep crystal scented rocks away from young children and pets.
It is advisable to wear rubber gloves when making scented rocks to avoid any contact with skin.
