How to Design Your Own Water Slide
Making a homemade water slide can be a fun activity for the whole family. You can easily make a water slide with inexpensive products that you likely already have at home. The good news is the slide is reusable. When you are finished using the slide, you can roll it up, put it away and take it back out when you are ready to make another water slide.

1
Find a hill that is perfect for a homemade water slide. Clear away any sticks, stones or other debris from the entire area you want to use for your slide, as these could potentially injure anybody using the water slide.
-
2
Measure the cleared area for the water slide and cut your tarp to your desired measurements. You may need more than one tarp if the area is large.
-
-
3
Lay your tarp on the area that you cleared. Keep the tarp in place using stakes. Place a stake every 3 to 5 feet to make sure the slide is secure.
-
4
Cover the homemade water slide with dish soap or liquid bubble bath. Adding soap to the slide will increase your speed. Reapply the dish soap or bubble bath as needed.
-
5
Place a sprinkler or hose at the top of the homemade water slide. Douse the slide with water and make sure it is completely wet. Keep the water running as long as you are using the water slide.
