How to Determine the Cubic Inches of a Refrigerator
Cubic inches can be determined for any refrigerator by doing a simple mathematical measurement. When you know the cubic inches of your refrigerator, you know the volume. Only the inside measurements apply. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Unplug the refrigerator before beginning. This will not take long, so any food or goods inside will not spoil.
-
2
Arrange the contents in a refrigerator to give you access to the side, rear and top. Ideally, an empty refrigerator makes measuring easier.
-
-
3
Measure the depth of one side of the refrigerator and record the measurement. Measure the back wall from side to side and record that measurement. Measure from the top of the back wall to the bottom of the back wall, the height, and record that measurement, also.
-
4
Multiply the height by the depth by the length, and record the result. This gives you the total cubic inches of the refrigerator, or the volume.
