  • Paper towels
  • Freezer bag or airtight container

      Rinse your canned crab meat in a colander and pat it dry with paper towels.

      Locate a freezer-safe plastic container with an airtight lid or a heavy duty zip-style freezer bag.

      Place the crab meat in the container or bag and seal tightly.

      Label the container with a freezer-safe permanent marker. Put the date and the fact that it's "crab" on the label.
