How to Decorate for March Madness
The March Madness basketball tournament, which features the conference champions of the 31 Division 1 basketball programs as well as the 34 best teams that don't win their conference, is a single-elimination event, and one of the most popular spectator sporting events in America. Office pools feature competitors filling out a bracket in an attempt to correctly guess the winner, and viewing parties are held for the games, particularly the final four. When hosting a March Madness party, appropriate decorations can add to the festivities.

1
Hang basketball-related posters on the walls.
-
2
Place basketball equipment, such as sneakers, jerseys of the teams competing and basketballs, around the room.

-
3
Create a bracket on a piece of poster board and fill it in as the games are played. Taping a piece of string to the board, and tying the string around a marker, is a great way to ensure you don't lose the marker you will need to fill in the bracket as the games are played.
-
4
Cover the tables with basketball tablecloths, such as a cloth designed to look like a basketball court or paper cloths printed with images such as hoops and basketballs.
-
5
Hang streamers and use balloons in the colors of your favorite team if they are participating in the tournament.
-
6
Bake basketball-themed snacks, such as cupcakes with orange icing and black gel lines for the seams of the basketball.
